Now based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jay Lam has emerged as a distinguished pianist and educator, recognized for his captivating performances and dedication to nurturing musical talent. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Music with a focus on piano from Utah Valley University, Jay refined his craft under the mentorship of esteemed professors.
His pursuit of excellence led him to Louisiana State University, where he earned a Master's degree in Piano Performance, studying under the guidance of renowned pianists. Currently, Jay is furthering his musical expertise as a Doctoral candidate in Piano Performance at LSU.
An ambassador of music on the global stage, Jay's performances have resonated with audiences worldwide. Invited to showcase his artistry at the prestigious Grumo Festival in Milan and Rome, Italy, Jay has enchanted listeners with solo and chamber music performances across Europe.
Beyond his performances, Jay Lam is deeply invested in the education of aspiring musicians of all ages. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, he tailors his teaching approach to suit diverse learning styles, ensuring his students receive a comprehensive musical foundation.
