Daniella Isabel Angulo Martínez was born and raised in Cartagena, Colombia. She began her studies in viola and violin at the age of ten at the Comfenalco Music School. At age 14, she was awarded a scholarship to participate in the Orchestra Summer Camp at Virginia Commonwealth University. Two years later, Daniella won a scholarship to study Music Performance at Northwestern State University of Louisiana with Dr. Andrej Kurti. (At Northwestern, she also completed an additional Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.) Her academic and musical distinction earned her a full scholarship to Florida State University, where she completed a Master's degree in Music Performance under the instruction of Dr. Pamela Ryan.

As a teacher, she is passionate about engaging students with music and guiding them in the development of mindfulness and discipline, which transfers into other aspects of their personal growth. Daniella enjoys helping her students to gain a deeper understanding of historical and cultural contexts of the music they play and to develop their technical skills, critical listening abilities, and musicality so that they can be creative, sensitive musicians and effective performers. Daniella currently teaches viola and violin lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.

Daniella has extensive experience in professional orchestras and string quartets throughout the southern United States and in Colombia, such as Pensacola Symphony, Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, Rapides Symphony, Virago String Quartet, among others.
