Jessica C.

Jessica is an engaging and energetic musician and educator. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, Jessica has been a devoted student of voice, piano, and percussion since she was only 8 years old. Over the years, she has enjoyed growing as both a performer and instructor. Her extensive and varied background informs her ability to meet all students where they are, regardless of age or skill level.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Percussion and Musicology and a Master's degree in Jazz Studies. She has performance experience including but not limited to performing with the Matanzas Symphonic Orchestra, University of Arts Symphonic Orchestra, and Failde Youth Band and Suns of Cuba. Jessica has also performed professionally as part of the Montuno Productions Agency, which promotes folkloric music from Latin America and the Caribbean.

Last but certainly not least, Jessica has over a decade of experience as a teacher. She has taught with a number of esteemed institutions, including a national music school and a conservatory in Cuba. Jessica teaches private lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, and has taught students ranging in age from 3 through older adults. She plays and teaches a wide variety of genres and styles, including world music and Latin music. She acknowledges her students' individuality, and recognizes that each one of them has a unique energy, emotionality, and approach to creative expression. Jessica prioritizes close connection with her students, as she finds that it makes the teaching and learning process incredibly rewarding for everyone involved.
