Tommy's Musical Journey
Tommy is a talented multi-instrumentalist and teacher who is originally from Newfoundland, Canada. He graduated from The University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Music Education, with a major in voice, and sings in five languages (French, Italian, German, Latin, and English). During his undergraduate studies, Tommy sang in Irish, Country, and Rock bands on the weekends and also sang in Latin in his church choir.
Tommy has over 20 years of teaching experience, and has taught in both one-on-one and classroom settings. He taught Middle School concert band and choir for fourteen years and is very experienced in teaching percussion, woodwinds, guitar, piano, and brass instruments. As part of his middle school teaching, Tommy directed musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof and Guys and Dolls.
Tommy has lived in Colorado since 2002. In addition to his passion for music, Tommy also loves athletics. He has coached basketball, volleyball, wrestling, track, baseball, golf, hockey, and soccer and has been both a Middle School and High School Athletic Director. Tommy is a huge hockey fan and enjoys attends Avalanche games with his family whenever possible.
