Dr. Harry's Musical Journey
Dr. Harry is a highly skilled vocalist, pianist, educator, conductor, and opera director. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Harry is a lifelong educator who has been teaching piano and voice lessons to children and adults of varying skill levels since 1981. He is a flexible and empathetic teacher who enjoys helping students of all backgrounds, ability levels, and musical interests to overcome their obstacles and achieve success. He currently teaches private piano lessons to students at the beginner through intermediate levels, and voice lessons to students of all skill levels.
He has held teaching positions at Colorado State University, Colorado Contemporary Music College, Front Range Community College, and University of Colorado, to name a few. In his distinguished career as a conductor and opera director, Dr. Harry has served as Assistant Conductor of the Appalachian Opera Company and the University Baptist Church Choir, as Assistant Choral Director of the Boulder Chorale, and as Assistant Director of the Church Street United Methodist Church.
Dr. Harry's skllls and interests and don't stop at music; he has experience as a professional athlete, and currently stays active as a mountain biking enthusiast. He also thoroughly enjoys the sciences, so much so that he considers science his first love.
