Daniel's Musical Journey
Dan Goett is a passionate and experienced music instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience. His musical journey began at age 11 with a 1968 Gibson SG Jr. — a family heirloom that sparked a lifelong love of music. Dan went on to earn a degree in Music Business with a focus on classical guitar from Southern Illinois University, building a strong foundation in theory, composition, and performance that continues to shape his teaching today.
Since 2004, Dan has helped students of all ages and skill levels reach their musical goals through personalized, engaging lessons. He teaches a wide range of styles — including Blues, Rock, Country, Bluegrass, Gypsy Jazz, and Classical — and also offers instruction on mandolin, banjo, and ukulele.
For the past six years, Dan has specialized in online lessons via Zoom, connecting with students not only across Colorado but throughout the U.S. — including major cities such as Houston, St. Louis, Washington D.C., and New York City — as well as internationally in Guatemala and Malawi. His online teaching approach combines structure, flexibility, and creativity, making it easy for students to learn effectively from anywhere in the world.
Dan’s goal is to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where every student feels motivated to grow and discover their unique musical voice.
