Adam S.

Born in the New York City area, Adam became enraptured by the sounds of the city at a young age and was an avid concert attendee, checking out everything from jazz concerts at Lincoln Center to punk rock shows at CBGB's. He was inspired to become a musician himself, and ultimately attended New York University for his formal music education.

After graduating from New York University in 1995 with a Music Business And Technology degree, Adam relocated to Colorado and began his performance and composition career in earnest. His credits include side projects of Kenny Passarelli (Joe Walsh/Elton John), W.S. Holland (Johnny Cash), Grammy-winning Eric “Benny” Bloom (Lettuce) and many others. He also backed Dierks Bentley at a Stanley Cup party for the 2022 Colorado Avalanche! According to Vintage Guitar Magazine, Adam is "looking to bring a new sound to instrumental guitar music," his original songs are "a memorable mix of country, jazz, rock, and soul that transcends all genres."

More important to Adam than his personal success is his love for teaching and sharing his knowledge of music. As a music educator, Adam has spent over twenty years teaching individual and group guitar and lap steel lessons. Also, he participated in a summer performance program for young musicians and spent two years in Delray Beach, FL, as the head guitar instructor at a local music school, working with students from ages 5 to 75. Adam's teaching philosophy is built on precision playing and strong rhythmic fundamentals. Doing things the way "the real guys do it" is also an important principle. Whether your interests are rock, jazz, R&B, blues, pop, country, jam bands, metal, punk, or folk, Adam draws on decades of musical experience to make your playing as authentic as possible while also maintaining a fun and uplifting musical environment.
