Joelle's Musical Journey

Joelle is a talented clarinetist and teacher with an extensive musical background. She started her formal music education at the University of Manitoba, and graduated with her Bachelor's in Performance. She then attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she completed her Master's in Music Performance in Clarinet and also earned her certificate in the Orchestral Performance Residency Program.

Joelle began teaching clarinet in 2000, and has taught beginner through advanced students. Her students have performed with the Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall and sat top chair in the SC All-State Band. She has worked with students in clinics and private lessons from beginner through college. Joelle loves to share in her student's excitement to learn about music, and is inspired by their joy as they progress!

When she isn't teaching, Joelle enjoys her performance career. She has performed on many stages including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. She held the position of Second Clarinet with the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra and is currently Principal Clarinet with the Long Bay Symphony.

I'm inspired by my students when they experience the joy of progress!
